Saumya Ray Chaudhuri: I have gone through two articles which raised some questions in my mind. What is Swamsa?
You will find that the same results which JS described as looking from Swamsa are seen in BPHS by looking from Karakamsa. So Swamsa refers to points of Lagna, AK and Chandra in Navamsa per Sanjay teaching in London 2004. Karakamsa shows results which relate to your desires more while actualization is seen from Navamsa Lagna. Especially first and fifth are inborn abilities. This should be clear now.
Anil: When we do chara karak repalcement?
When planets are in the same degree then the charakarakas are replaced. The lower (antyakaraka) takes the position of the higher. So the lower position is empty now and that role of the lower Charakaraka is taken by Naisargika-karaka of CK. For example if Ju is AK and Me is AmK then Me will be AK and Ju (natural karaka fro AmK) will become AmK.
Anil:.In your horoscope , when we had done charakarak eplacement , why after the age of 33/34 mercury will act as AK. ( i mean why AK will be change again from up to Mer)?
2. In the natural age of the higher karaka the replacement is happening. So for Ju AK and Me AMK in the same degree it will happen in Ju age which is 33/34.

During learning jyotisha i took one of my friend chart to analyze most of the things were correct which are based on preliminary concepts(lagana) and those happend to him.1 day he brought his friends newly birth details and i found 4/5 planets in 8 th hose in lagna chart i said am confuse better u go to professional, after that the kid died. and my friend concluded that i knew but i didnt told him about diying.
question is how to solve or away from this type problems?
specialy for beginners like me i am just small kid in jyotish who is going to take admission in LKG of jyotish just like parents teach their kid before take admission in LKG schools.

Well..Prasna Marga says that reading results is very difficult even for exalted personalities like Rsis. If You dont feel profesional then admit it before client and everything will be sincere. Prasna is very important tool which should be activated before reading natal chart.
Dont be discouraged and go forward with studies.

The marriage yogas must be very weak (Venus, Dk, Upapada, Navamsa). So Upapada lord must be badly placed in Navamsa along with Shukra. Shukra must be in satvic nakshatra and connected to 3/6 from AL in D1. 7H from Venus and Jupiter must be afflicted/weak. There are many more..and Crux of Vedic Astrology has few examples for that. I have also some brahmacarins chart in my database. Usually Shani is connected to both Arudhapada and Upapada in Rasi - this can give wholetim bachelor. Shukra/DK in Apoklima to AL/AK is also one yoga. You can provide some chart of naistika-brahmacari to study.

I am giving one devotee Details who is going to be join In Brahmacari ashram soonly.now he is in temple only but he is doing engineering after completing his engineering(Electronics) he will join as a full time devotee.

-> he is struggling in engineering still now also
he is now in temple(due to fail in last acadamic year)
-he is strongly determined that his going to be Brahmacari?

This time is inaccurate so its hard to study that chart as Navamsa is important.
Here its place for two Lagnas (1) Vrscika (2) Dhanus. My Prasna favours Vrscika, so lets see from this point of view:
i) 7L from Shukra is debilitated in D9
ii) Shani AK is with A7
iii) DK is in eight bhava and fifth lord is in 12H
iv) Upapada Lord is in curse.
However with 7L and Venus in UL and AL this shows a lot of temptation I would not say its naistika-case like Srila Bhaktisiddhana Maharaja.
Here is one of my examples:
Date: July 13, 1968
Time: 13:16:30
Time Zone: 1:00:00 (East of GMT)
Place: 17 E 02′ 00″, 51 N 06′ 00″
i) 7L from Ve (which is also 2L from UL) is debilitated in D1 and D9 - that is serious as Shani is DK and in 7H
ii) Grahamalika ending with Ketu in 12H
iii) Upapada is in sixth from Venus and 12H from AL. Upapada lord is in eigth in D9, but because of exaltation it can give marriage but with big delay.
iv) Moon is in Shani sign in D1, D3, D9.
My student Pawel has very nice example of Naistika-Brahmacari, hopefully He will contribute
to discussion.

What if the Atmakaraka has parivarthana with the lagna lord(in D1)? Does that mean that the soul’s purpose is fufilled in this lifetime? Does Atmakaraka being lord of D9 and Vargottama support this?
What happens if the Atmakaraka happens to be the lord of upachaya houses(D1)?
Do we look at the relationship between the charakarakas in the D1 chart or D9 chart?

1. Lagnesh connected to AK gives usually God fearing soul (in Your case) or atheist/demon.
2. AK connected to Navamsa Lagna gives rise in life (if in Lagna from birth, if with Lagnesh later on).
3. We look for CK’s sambandha in D1 as this will influence all areas and life in general.

I have a question regarding my Bhratri Karaka which is Rahu. It is placed in the 9th(Kumbha) which is in Marana Karana Sthana. Also lord of Aquarius is debilitated and retrogade. Does this mean that i will be devoid of a guide for my soul? I am hoping that since Rahu is in a trine to the Atmakaraka(Mars in Virgo) i will have very good spiritual guidance. If so may i know in which form and in which dasa this will be prominent. Do you normally refer to the AK kendradi Dasa?

1. When Ra is in ninth this is usally bad for Aquarius sign and this gives durbhagya, however for CK’s of Rahu like Ak, Amk, Bk this gives spirituality. Still if Ra is BK then one will have many doubts and Guru worship is important.
2. Usually Ck’s which are in kendra/kona to AK dwell well (for AmK this gives raja-sambandha yoga - association with topmost specialist in proffesional field), the same is from Navamsa Lagna.
3. This will be prominent in BK dasa of course.

Dear Rafal-ji, Namaskar.
Made a mistake …my BK(Rahu) is actually in the 6th from AK (mars). Does that mean that i should just forget about seeking a guru ? The karaka for Guru, Jupiter is in the 2nd to AK…since its in a panapara position to AK does that mean that i will benefit from Guru only after i pay them or something like that. 9th Lord Saturn(neecha) is also in a panapara(8th) from AK. Also i just completed 18 years of Rahu dasa with no Guru in sight. Perhaps i should concentrate on meditation/prayer for spiritual guidance rather than join any spiritual organization or seek a spiritual mentor. What do you think? Does Jupiter being AmK show that i should rely on my own mind for spiritual guidance? Jupiter(AmK) is in the 9th from AK in D9 chart…But i don’t have a proper career.
From personal experience i actually love reading spiritual books and hearing talks on the same but have never had a personal guide/mentor. My faith (in my religion&God) alone keeps me going. Recently though(Jupiter dasa) i have been showing intrest in “jyotish” (but as interpreted by SJC students-very spiritually enlightening). And also in a “Kundalini Yoga” meditation centre …what do you think? Is Rahu making me doubt that all i need is my religious faith and nothing else eg. “kundalini awakening”? But why would Rahu continue to dominate in Jupiter dasha…is it because Jupiter in my chart is also Bhadakesh which is supposed to act like Rahu. BTW my Jupiter is cursed.
BK also signifies older siblings and being in the 6th from AK i am guessing it won’t bode well for my relationship with older siblings. However Mars(AK) also happens to be Lord of the 11th house. Does that mean that my soul’s purpose is also linked to my older siblings? And enemies???(Mars being lord of 6th also).
Does BK Rahu show my attitude towards brothers/guru or does it show the nature of my brothers/guru?
The only planet in a kendra to AK is Moon(DK)-in conjunction. But even that is placed in the 6th from AK in D9. Does my poor soul get no support at all to fulfill its purpose?
Since my AK(Mars) is in parivarthana with Mercury(PiK) does that mean that my spiritual growth will happen in Mercury dasha and not Mars dasha?
Please correct my flawed understanding of charakarakas.

Yes, Ive answered for BK position occupied by Ra. Apoklima shows that You can neglect those issues in Your life, but for bad events/or lack of events it should be bad maranakarakasthana or pachakadi sambandha from AK.
All other questions are more suitable for reading.

I tried to analyse my chart and ask you a few questions
my ascendant lord ie mars is in 8th house.is it due to this placement that i am facing health issues.please suggest accordingly with a remedy too
I am running a Jupiter main period with a minor period of ketu till october and thereby I vist ganesha temple on wednesdays for five months…however issues persits and i do not have a peaceful mind either.Is there a black magic angle to it also?
As of the 2nd house house lord juiter its placed in 11th house along with venus..So how can i expect a source of income.as i am retired as of now and need a source of income.I am also trying to sell off an
ancestral land but relatives are creating obstacle to it.
Moreover 9th house lord is Moon placed in 6th house.
Please suggest a remedy or mantra or visiting temples accordingly

Yes, this position can show problems with health, especially Budha here is with neecha and mks Surya in twelfth bhava. Vishnu mantra is the remedy as these grahas are involved in Guru-Shapa in eleventh bhava so this should be more prominently in period 98-01. This should be time of starting problems with debts, problem with house and family. From 2002 to 2005 this became more visible, problematic and tangible. From Oct 2007 there should be some move and you felt the obstruction coming from elders and Gurus, so you lose faith in that time.

i have capricorn ascendan and moon is chara atmakarak. in my chart moon is in 8th house and mars is in 1st house. saturn is in 11th house and jupiter is in 2nd house. all these planets aspect the moon. so is it a curse of mother? what can be the result and what should i do? my eight lord sun is also weak as it is in 9th house with ketu. my birth date is 2nd oct 1986. and birth time is 15:48.birth place is Dhrangadhra, Gujarat, India.

This is for one of my friend.
Her dob is on 22nd feb 80, born in kerala. There was a person who had come to see her from the perspect of marriage, but after 3 days got a call saying taht the horoscope doesnot match, though earlier it was communicated from both the sides matching and the match was abandoned. The girl and the boy are in love with each other, but at the same time the boy has agreed for another marriage fixed by his parents. what should she do now to get her love back before his marriage (marriage in another 1 month’s time)..

Yes, Moon is cursed. This will touch the financial aspects of life. You will have big expenses on spouse and family. This is not so bad as Moon is also 11L so this will turn into investments. The MKS will act in dasa Rasi of Karka 2034-2045. While the curse from 2009-2026. 2007 should be very very crucial for the career prospects and status but some quarrels with fatherly figures and partners occured due to Navamsa Parivartana. Is that right?

Do people with the same graha as AK share a closeness akin to kindred spirits? Do they more readily bond with each other if they have the same AK?? Sometimes people call it “chemistry”. Some people hate each other at first sight…..does inimical AKs have anything to do with it?

Yes, also those planets in Kendra to AK.
Rest lies in Lagna and Lagnesh. For example I have conflicts with Cancer Lagnas, as :
1) my Lagnesh has bad naisargika sambandha with Chandra (my Lagnesh is Budha)
2) my Lagnesh has bad tatkalika sambandha with Budha (Chandra sits in fifth from Budha)
3) the Lagnas are in 2/12 relation.
There are also other methods like grahaarudha and ashtakavarga (I advise you to read especially chapter from Prashna Marga).

you said that moon is 11L also. but i have capricorn ascendant so moon is 7th lord. are you counting moon’s position from arudha lagna? one more thing is that i dont have any rasi privartan yoga in navamsha chart. is this curse can be harmful to my mother? and what is the remedy for it? one thing that 2007 was crucial year for me was right it was a final year of graduation for me. and the result was not as good as i have expected.

Dear Manasi,
1. Mars and Shani are aspecting the 7L in eight bhava in fixed sign whilst Lagnesh and eight are involved - so thats a curse. There are many ascendents. Moon is eleventh lord from Arudhalagna.
2. Me is in Ketu sign and Ketu is in Me sign in D9. Thats parivartana.
3. Yes, matula shapa is bad for mother. This is in fifth from forth so mental problems and feeling of being stucked in life. Shani is also in badhak - so health issues (March-August). But Mangal exalted Vargottama can give very influential or famous mother (Satya Jataka principle). Parivartana between Badhakesh and Lagnesh should also be remedied (your d1) as it causes undiagnosed health issues and obstacles in finances but due to strength of those planets in D9 you will not loose anything for a further period of time but this can give harsh qualities of mind when it comes to rise in life. Ve and Me in 10H are excellent for buisness and its rajayoga. but demands to give the part of it to the world (2H from Surya).
Remedy lies in propiating Somanatha.

That’s very intriguing…i will definitely “google” Prashna Marga on the net.
Kendra to AK includes the grahas yuti AK …right???Can i assume you are talking about the placement of AK in Rasi chart and not Navamsa? What about graha that is in parivarthana with AK? Do you then also consider the
kendras to the graha in parivarthana with AK??
Can i use the examples you have given for lagna and lagnesh, for the the different individuals planetary positions of the Moon and Sun as well??
“Astakavarga and graha arudhas” as well??? But when we use too many methods won’t it all balance out i.e. we end up having good/bad “relations” with all rasis. Is there a hierarchy of importance in the methods applied or do you just add up the number of positive points and deduct the negatives to arrive at a conclusion???

it was communicated earlier by an astrologer that she will get married before 24yrs, but that doesnot come true..
she has moon in aries in 3rd house, ju, mars & rahu in 7th house imn leo, pluto and nept in 10th house and venus in 12th house in pisces and an aquarian ascendent with sun, mercury and ketu in it
