How I Got Here
In 1998 I was a philosophy student practicing tropical astrology when Indian philosophy — especially Gaudiya Vaiṣṇavism — pulled me toward meditation, Sanskrit texts, and eventually Jyotiṣa. The precision of its timing systems changed everything I thought I knew about charts.
By 2004 I had found my teacher, Visti Larsen, and entered the Sri Jagannath Center tradition, where astrology is inseparable from spiritual practice. Under his guidance I trained in natal interpretation, muhūrta, praśna, and the Jaimini Sūtras. I received dīkṣā mantras in 2004 and 2006 to sharpen both intuition and analytical rigour.
I completed advanced coursework with Paṇḍit Sanjay Rath — Parāśara Horā Śāstra, Mantra Śāstra — and continue to study the classical sources that keep this tradition alive.

Jagannath Rath
Royal astrologer (Rāja Jyotiṣi) from Odisha. Known for austerity, scholarship, and the title Jyotish Ratna.
Kasinath Rath
Custodian of the Horā Śāstra tradition. Taught informally, shaping the next generation.
Sanjay Rath
Trained from childhood by his uncle and grandfather. Founded SJC, integrating Jyotiṣa with mantra-śāstra, mudrā, prāṇāyāma, and Sanātana Dharma.
